The fire broke out this Sunday, at the end of the day, in a hotel in Les Deux Alpes. All customers and staff were evacuated. Firefighters remained on the scene Monday morning to deal with a partial outbreak.

A hotel in the resort of Les Deux Alpes, in Isère, was hit by a violent fire on Sunday 11 December. Up to sixty firefighters were deployed to the scene, rue du Grand Plan. The fire ravaged the entire six-story building.

About forty people, guests and hotel staff, were evacuated at 6:30 p.m. and relocated by the hotel group. No injuries. “The first thing was to get everyone together and it was a great solidarity to bring up to 80 meals and relocate 31 people”underlined the mayor of Les Deux Alpes, Christophe Aubert.

The fire was stopped on Monday morning, but about thirty firefighters are still on the scene to repair partial occurrences and carry out clearing actions. They also track people who want to recover their personal belongings. For now, the origin of the fire is unknown.
