At the Musée de l’Armée, from 2023, an annual residency for a new or established photographer: Lignes de defense

The Musée de l’Armée publishes a call for applications for emerging or confirmed photographers to create their photography residency.

From 2023, every year the museum will offer a photographer to develop an art project, while the Army Museum opens a new page in its history with its major expansion and transformation project MINERVA (2022-2030).

Among the topics proposed by the museum are “Army Museum Collections”, “Architecture of the National Disabled Hotel and its Ecosystem”, “Creating the Army Museum of Tomorrow”, “Life and Rhythms in the Army Museum” and “Army-Nation Connection and Citizen Consciousness”.

Acceptance of applications: no later than February 10, 2023
Selection and announcement of finalist candidates: end of March 2023
Selection jury and announcement of finalist candidates: April 2023
Residency progress between April and October 2023

Funds made available
A grant of €10,000 gross including VAT for the period of stay between April and October 2023. This sum includes tourist taxes, transport, meals and accommodation costs. Card for access to the administrative restaurant
Working environment: in the heart of the Hôtel National des Invalides, especially in the premises of the Army Museum, and providing a transit office
Accompanying the art director (administrative, critical, logistical and technical support) and participation in the most important events of the Army Museum
Restitution: conference, exhibition and publication
