Comines-Warneton: A gift box for the less fortunate

Comines-Warneton: A gift box for the less fortunate

Unfortunately, this year, with the health and energy crisis, the number of men, women and children living below the poverty line will increase significantly again.

More and more people are struggling to make ends meet, live decently and enjoy some of life’s pleasures.

To overcome the problem, many initiatives are emerging, some of which aim to provide meals, leisure, clothing and gifts for Christmas, as in Comines-Warneton.

The work of the solidarity Christmas boxes is to provide some warmth to the most vulnerable by filling them a shoe box with something warm, good, a beauty product, a toy and a warm note.

Perishable foods and damaged items should be avoided.

Don’t forget to decorate the boxes beforehand to make them more attractive deposit them before December 12 at the various town halls of Comines, Warneton and Ploegsteert.

The boxes will then be closed and packed by the city office before being offered to people in need.
