After 48 hours, the strike of Rapid workers in Mayenne was ended. Unions and management reached an agreement.
After a two-day strike by around 200 employees, everyone returned to work in Mayenne this Wednesday, December 7. An agreement between the management of Rapido campers and employee representatives was indeed reached on Tuesday. Thus, an increase in the salaries of all employees in Rapid was recorded, which will be smoothed out by next July: “If we do the math, from July 1, 2022 to July 1, 2023, we could claim an increase of almost 10%“, rejoiced Jorge d’Almeida Coelho, trade union representative of the CGT.

Give and take
Faced with the good will of his bosses, who put their hands in their wallets, the union representative in turn promised the journalists that the Rapid management, if necessary, would not have to deal with ungrateful people: “The market is tight, vehicle dealers are not selling, and even if you have vehicles that are late, you need to plan for the future as well. Therefore, we told our management that during our next negotiations in 2023, we will be able to make an effort, if necessary. The management met the expectations of the employees, and in return we will be able to meet the expectations of the company.”
