The Boutique Hotel
Decoration lovers, you have come to the right address. Located a 5-minute walk from the center of Annecy and benefiting from an exceptional location facing the lake, this is a very modern place that changes from the classics and offers the perfect combination: on the one hand, the door opens onto the pedestrian street in the tourist area of the castle, and restaurants; on the other hand, the peace of the lake and the view of the mountain. In this residence of the last century, Benoit and Delphine applied all their taste for decoration and the art of living. Moreover, the hotel reception is also a boutique concept store. Hence its name…
As soon as you arrive, immerse yourself in the decorative universe of the concept store type, with a large bay window that opens onto the lake. Like a real boutique hotel, it has decorative items and offers different atmospheres in each room. Elegant Scandinavian style? French flea market? Dutch design? Retro-vintage? Every lover of decoration will find “THE” bedroom that suits him. In the garden and on the shady and peaceful terraces you will relax in this green environment with a beautiful view of the lake, mountains and castle. More than nice!

In Annecy, there are those who like to stay in the old town and those who prefer to go for a walk with a view of the lake from the lighthouse. For the latter, we will go to Talloires, a small Savoy town on the shores of Lake Annecy, 12 km and 20 minutes by car from Annecy TGV station. Welcome to the 17th-century Benedictine abbey that was the first hotel restaurant on the shores of Lake Annecy. Once a chapel and a monastery, this place steeped in history knew how to nurture the charm of the era with the magic of modernity. Writers, painters, artists and kings of the Franks in search of relaxation and clear water since Lothaire II, the great-grandson of Charlemagne, have not been wrong, as evidenced by the guest book signed by Cézanne, Mark Twain and Bruce Willis or Jean Reno. While the 36 rooms and suites have different decor (we prefer the older ones) and cherish their period features (three-century-old peaked ceilings, exposed frames, parquet floors from 1681, etc.), they all share a Breathtaking view. An address that takes you back in time… because if you love design, you also know that you appreciate walls that convey a strong past. Keep in mind that the new spa of 200m² with a wooded decor, placed under the roof and with a pleasant atmosphere, is conducive to relaxation as well as the view of the silvery waves of the lake, which you never get tired of.

Imprisonment of the senses
If there are culinary experiences that must be lived, a trip to Laurent Petit is not to be missed. With every plate there is a story, a power, something that draws you to the next dish, a connection that makes one body.
“Lawrence Little. Lake and vegetable kitchen ». There is depth, true. It must be said that the chef is more than passionate. He sees his kitchen as an extension of himself. It was in 1984 with Michel Guérard, in Eugénie-les-Bains, during an incredible practice, he discovered this universe that would amaze him: a shock that from that day gave him “an immense thirst for life”. Le Clos des Sens is therefore a place apart, created to be surprised. Ideally located at the crossroads of the three largest alpine lakes: Lac du Bourget, wild and secret, Lac d’Annecy, pure and exotic, Lac Léman, grandiose. “A haven of peace, a cocoon suitable for listening to the senses and rejuvenating, carried away by the breeze, ideal for the creation of Clos des Sens, a gourmet restaurant, but also a 5-star luxury hotel”. Truth, transparency: this is Laurent Petit’s philosophy and the soul of this place. The peaks, the lake, the hundred-year-old chestnut trees, the hosts, the kitchen and dining room brigades seem to be united, in a state of weightlessness, by the immeasurable song of nature. With 3 Michelin stars, Clos des Sens is part of the Grandes Tables du Monde, a very closed club of 170 restaurants selected on 5 continents, and Laurent Petit co-founded the Culinary College of France with Alain Ducasse and Joël Robuchon.

Auberge du Père BiseRestaurant Jean Sulpice
It is in this fantastic setting in an inn located on the edge of the lake, at the foot of the rock of Chere in Talloires, that the talented chef Jean Sulpice, two stars in the Michelin guide and four Gault et Millau toques serve to offer you a moment of ‘exception’. People also come here for a stay in a 5-star hotel, a treatment at the Spa de l’Auberge, a meal at the 1903 restaurant, but above all for this fantastic gastronomic experience at the Jean Sulpice restaurant. The ties that connect Jean Sulpice with his terroir are very close. On and under the water, in the heart of the forests, behind the mountains, the rich and fertile surroundings of Savoy constantly feed his inspiration and therefore the gastronomy of the soil he delicately puts in the center of attention. Féra and watercress, char, juniper butter Maître d’hôtel, celery and Savoy croquettes with walnuts/topping. Alba white truffle, Pogača and meadow, Autumn picking with immortelle from Italy, Beaufort in the spirit of alpine pasture, Blueberry from our mountains and gentian, Chocolate and saffron from Savoy… Nature is omnipresent in dishes that are an extension of the sublime environment. Allow yourself to pave the way to the wonders of discovery between lakes and mountain pastures. It overlooks Lake Annecy, comfortably bordered between Semnoz and Forclaz. With its panoramic view, you will hardly look away…
303 Crete Road
It’s a loyal and rightly loyal clientele that you’ll mingle with to sample Chef Maximilien Mosbach’s (ex-Café Brunet in Annecy-le-Vieux) menu. Game ribs, pike kennel, langoustine bisque and wilted fresh spinach with mushrooms, organic Sevrier squash, crumble… Chef’s classics updated with the seasons. Then it’s impossible not to fall for Laura’s desserts. Crêpes Suzette or a variation of chocolate, in sherbet, mousse and cream, caramelized hazelnuts and biscuits, all sweetened with cream… A safe bet.

In the center of Annecy, this is the address for those who love beautiful dishes with a topping that is as beautiful as their content. Sandra and Léo opened their restaurant in June 2018 after learning their skills from top chefs we appreciate: Fréderic Roberta at La Grande Cascade and Yannick Allénoa at Le Meurice at the time, then in New York. They serve original cuisine made from local products. He knows what “kitchen” means in Savoy patois.
