In Beaujeu (69), from November 16 to 20, lovers of Beaujolais Nouveau will meet for a five-day celebration. A special reception for campers has been set up.
The Sarmentelles de Beaujeu are an unmissable event for lovers of Beaujolais Nouveau. It is in this commune that the Beaujolais Nouveau campaign starts every year.
The music group “Les Forbans” will be the guests of this edition with a rockabilly bracket.
The celebration lasts for 5 days, and the highlight is of course the traditional pouring of Beaujolais Nouveau, precisely at midnight on the 3rd Thursday of November.
Another highlight: the award-winning tasting competition during which participants must identify the vintages of twelve names of Beaujolais.
Artisans and farmers are also part of the event, as are the Compagnons du Beaujolais who make new thrones.
