From November 17 to 20, Montier-en-Der (52) hosts the Wildlife Photo Festival. The common area is open, campers are welcome.
25 years ago, a group of friends passionate about nature and photography nurtured the dream of organizing a regional wildlife photography fair with the prestigious “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” competition exhibition. Success is here with 4000 visitors. Today, this very popular event presents a hundred exhibitions, both indoors and outdoors, spread over fifteen locations (in Gornja Marne and on the Marne). The program of the Festival 2022 is dedicated to the “time” that comes in different aspects: firstly, the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the festival, but also the evolution of natural environments, climate, meteorology. This edition has prestigious sponsors: Steve McCurry, internationally known American photographer, Francis Hallé, botanist, specialist in tropical forests, known for undertaking the Radeau des Cimes expeditions and Marc Giraud, naturalist and writer.
