More than a Christmas market

More than a Christmas market

The Christmas fair seduced young and old

This Sunday, November 27, it was a party in the spa village on the theme of the magic of Christmas.

As every Sunday morning, an open-air market took place on Place Odilon Lannelongue and its surroundings, while in the Town Hall merchants and artisans invited you to prepare for the end of the year celebration at the Christmas market.

Traditionally, it means the composition of your festive dishes (foie gras, sweet chocolates, gingerbread, honey, skewers, homemade beer …) but also the entire range of creations of small amateur artisans (jewelry, handkerchiefs, paintings, etc.) spoil the whole family with low prices.

With “her little pleasures”, Klara has offered you a series of elegant jewelry and trendy bags that will go well with your party or simply everyday.

We had the pleasure of discovering the wonderful collection of Coutellerie Gasconne whose forge is located in Lavardens, very close to the castle.

Local Banda animated this beautiful morning. Set up in the gallery, these ladies delighted the audience with their brass instruments.

The children’s eyes were amazed by the arrival of Santa Claus, who graciously engaged in photo-taking, before entering the carriage for a tour of the village.

The presence of Miss Gers and Miss Jeunesse Occitanie attracted all eyes.

APE was very active in the preparation of aligots, pancakes and sausages. Remember that this association works a lot for children. Through their creations, they participated in decorating the Christmas tree placed in front of Mary.

Real Christmas magic for everyone.

But while many took advantage of those moments of happiness, merchants in the village were working on putting up decorations prepared after long days of work. For Édouard Bon, owner-manager of the Hôtel des Thermes, this will be the first Christmas in the spa village. He kindly invited all merchants and volunteers who participated in the development of the village to come and drink a glass of friendship in his facility.

On Friday, December 2, from 8:30 p.m., merchants will celebrate Christmas, and the fun is entrusted to a young duo: Dad and son.

Castera-Verduzan is a village that is always moving forward!
