Record broken in favor of FHDL

A record sum of $426,384 was raised during the 23rd edition of the Prestige Tasting for the benefit of the Fondation Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis (FHDL). The event took place on October 6 at the Center des congrès de Lévis.

Held under the honorary chairmanship of Hugo Belanger, Vice-President, Business Financial Services, South Shore of Quebec/Beauce/Bois-Francs at RBC Royal Bank and presented by Dessercom, this evening he returned in person. Nearly 700 community members participated in the event.

“This is the fruit of our collective strength, at its best! This year we are achieving an unparalleled record, and it is thanks to your generosity and your commitment to the cause. On behalf of Lévisiennes and the entire community of Chaudière-Appalaches, thank you for contributing to this great movement of solidarity. You are allowing several projects aimed at improving the Foundation’s health services to see the light of day”, emphasized Mr. Belanger.

Guests discovered eight Canadian wines and spirits, along with a four-course gourmet meal. The highlight of the evening, six prizes were offered during the live auction. The first for a personal edition, the virtual auction, available online from September 29, delighted many bidders with more than 70 lots sold out.

During the Prestige tasting, FHDL also presented its achievements and thanked the medical teams of Lévis Hospital for their work, thanks to a video. Several representatives of Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis and Chaudière-Appalaches Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS-CA) received applause during the evening.

Finally, remember that FHDL has committed this year to invest $1 million to improve the equipment available for diagnostic examinations of patients monitored in the outpatient clinic and in the operating room of the Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis and the Center Paul-Gilbert. The amount raised during the 2022 Prestige Tasting will help him achieve these goals.
